Pervez Musharraf, the former Chief of Army Staff and President of Pakistan, died yesterday at the American Hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, after a lengthy illness. He was 79 years old.

At the time of his death, he had forced himself into exile. It would appear that Pervez Musharraf had amyloidosis, a condition that had a significant impact on his organs and tissues and prevented the body from operating normally.

Bilal Musharraf is an actuary and educator. His birthday is October 17, 1972.

He graduated from Fauji Foundation College in Pakistan after attending a military high school. After that, he attended Hasanabdal Cadet College. He attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1990 and the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2005.

He is married to the banker Iram Aftab. Together, they have a daughter. Ayla, his sister, is married to a film director named Asim Raza and works as an architect.

Bilal began working as an actuarial analyst for the Automobile Insurers Bureau in 1994. Later, he worked for the same company as a Senior Actuarial Analyst. He stayed there until         2000 before moving to Boston. He worked as a Benefits Consultant at Willis Towers Watson in that location.
