1. Define biotechnology?

Ans.We can define biotechnology as use of living organisms to manufacture useful product for humans.

2. What is genetic engineering?

Ans. Artificial synthesis modification,removal and addition to modern technology 

3. What is fermentation?

Ans. Fermentation is a process in which incomplete oxidation reduction of glucose.

4. What is fermenter?

Ans. Fermenter a device in which provide best environment to microorganisms to grow in to a biomass in fermenter substrate contact with product.

5. Write advantage of using fermenter?

Ans. Organisms are monitored and controlled,increases the growth of organisms,maintain pH provide materials in  large amount and inexpensive.

6. Write the objective of genetic engineering?

Ans:

• Isolate the selected gene or some part for making gene therapy.
• Produce special type of protein and RNA.
• Increase variety of plants which have our desirable traits.
• Use for genetic defect treatment.

7. What is interferons?

Ans. Interferons are anti viral proteins produced by cells infected with viruses.

8. What is urokinase?

Ans. Urokinase is a enzyme which is used to clot blood 

9. What is recombinant DNA?

Ans. Vector DNA and attached gene of intrest are collectively called recombinant DNA.

10. Write the uses of formic acid?

Ans. Use in textile dyeing,leather treatment electroplating rubber manufacturing.
